I built this website to be a companion to the book Learning ACT: A Skills Training Manual for Therapists (Luoma, Hayes, & Walser, 2007). The book was built to be interactive, with many exercises and ways to apply the material in the book. This website extends that opportunity to interact with the book by allowing the reader to post questions and/or discuss topics related to the book or learning about ACT in general. I monitor the forums and respond to questions, in addition to other readers.

Discussion takes place in the Forum. In order to use the forum, you need to register for the website, which is on the side bar to the left. Your information will always be kept confidential. Anyone interested in learning how to use or delivery ACT with their own clients is invited to participate in the forums. You don't need to have bought the book.

I hope you find this a place where people who are learning Acceptance and Commitment Therapy can discuss your learning of ACT and get support from others who are also learning.  The goal is to form a learning community--where we can learn from each other.

Feel free to roam the site and see what's here!
